Smart City

Cities are cultural ecosystems. The city operation can be improved and become smart through technology and data collection. To enable these smart innovations, an infrastructure of ecosystem partners (governmental and non-governmental institutions, corporate and NGOs, etc.) need to be formed to provide regulations for open data policies. This allows us to test and build use cases around economy, mobility, security, education, living, and/or environment.

Analytics Showcases

At my former company, we developed showcases for a more innovative city. A descriptive environmental showcase mapped the emission rate by using remote sensing. A predictive e-mobility case simulated traffic and allowed different configurations to see the impact on specific KPIs, like emissions. We also built a prescriptive mobility case based on agent modeling to simulate scenarios of future mobility concepts in the suburbs.

My contribution

My contribution was very diverse, ranging from ideating concepts to sketching ideas for stakeholder presentations or designing dashboard interfaces for showcases and prototypes.
